Weiqing Wang, M.D, Ph.D, Professor of medicine, Director of the Department of Endocrine and Metabolism of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.
She is the current Vice president of the Chinese Endocrine Society, Chief Executive of Chinese Endocrinologist Association, Chair of Shanghai Endocrine Society, vice-president of Shanghai Diabetes Rehabilitation Society.
She is the associated-chief-editor of Journal of Diabetes. Editorial board of Nature Reviews Endocrinology（Chinese）and Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism. She has received more than 10 national and local grants and more than 100 peer-reviewed SCI publications, including Nature Medicine, JAMA, Science and Nature Communications. She was winner of the National Science &Technology Progress Awards in 2008, 2010 and 2012 respectively (2nd class), winner of Shanghai Science &Technology Progress Awards (2008, 2016, 1st class)/Shanghai Medical Science &Technology Awards (2008, 2015, 1st class)/Shanghai Medical Science &Technology Promotion Awards 2012 (1st class, rank 1st place ) She is the winner of the 6th National outstanding scientific and technological workers award, Wuzhou Science and Technology Award of Chinese Female Physicians Association and special government allowances of the State Council.
