EXHIBITION INFORMATION Dear Colleagues We are pleased to invite you to consider exhibiting at ICE 2018, the first international endocrine conference to take place in Africa. As endocrinology is unfortunately often neglected in Africa, leaving thousands to suffer as their endocrine conditions remain undiagnosed or poorly-treated, this conference should help address this inadequacy by promoting the discipline internationally, with emphasis on this continent. The conference will combine cutting-edge clinical and basic endocrinology, as befits an international meeting of this stature, with interactive workshops specifically directed at improving the diagnostic and management skills of clinicians looking after patients with endocrine disorders. One of the major objectives of the programme is to expose clinicians and researchers from Africa to international key opinion leaders in endocrinology, clinical experts and other attendees from around the world, thus building a community of clinicians in Africa interested in endocrinology and promoting the establishment of good clinical practice for the care of people with endocrine disorders. Sessions on diabetes will feature prominently and to achieve our objective for uplifting clinical training there will be opportunities for pharmaceutical companies to hold workshops and symposia with their own speakers. Exhibition at this meeting will allow you to engage with clinicians who access the latest technology and pharmaceuticals as well as facilitate opportunities for corporate social responsibility by giving clinicians from Africa a rare opportunity to attend an international endocrine conference and thus improve the quality of care for thousands of patients with endocrine disorders in Africa. Your support of ICE 2018 is pivotal for us to achieve our goal of establishing a legacy of optimal care in endocrinology on the African continent. We look forward to welcoming you to ICE 2018. Kind regards A/Prof Joel Dave Chair: Local Organising Committee |
